Check-in at the airport

Two types of check-in procedures are available: “Online Check-in” and “Check-in at the airport”.
This page will guide you through the procedures for check-in at the airport.

Boarding procedures can be completed at a Self-service check-in machine or a check-in counter. A “boarding pass” is required for boarding.

  1. Step 1 Issuance of boarding passes

    Customers with airline tickets

    • Purchased via travel agencies, etc.
      • e-Ticket Itinerary Receipt
        (confirmation number)
    • Purchased by credit card
      • Card used for purchase, or confirmation number and reservation number
    • Purchased at convenience stores
      • Reservation number and confirmation number

Proceed to a self-service check-in machine or a check-in counter. A boarding pass will be issued.

    Customers with airline tickets

    • Other airline tickets
    • Magnetic flight ticket

    Customers without tickets

    • No reservation
    • Reserved

Proceed to a counter. A boarding pass will be issued.

    • *
Be sure to have the credit card holder complete check-in procedures when using a credit card.
  2. Step 2 A boarding pass is required for baggage check-in.

Note that while an "e-Ticket Itinerary Receipt" is similar to a "boarding pass", their uses are different.

One "e-Ticket Itinerary Receipt" contains a travel schedule for up to two sections.

For return trips, do not discard your “e-Ticket Itinerary Receipt” because an e-ticket is also used for boarding procedures on outward flights.

  3. Step 3 Pass the security checkpoint at least 20 minutes before the departure time.

Under the direction of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and as part of our countermeasures against terrorism, we are undertaking stricter checks of jackets and footwear and screenings of potential explosives before allowing passengers to board.
Please complete the security check in good time and proceed to your boarding gate.

    • Touch the two-dimensional bar code on the boarding pass.

    • Be sure to receive the “Security Certificate”.
Do not lose the “Safety inspection Certificate” until you reach your destination.

    • Please make sure you have your boarding pass.
    • Please scan your boarding pass on the reader of the security checking machine.
    • Follow the instructions on-screen and go through.

The Security Certificate previously issued at security checkpoints will be discontinued due to the updated machines.
Please check your boarding pass for details such as your boarding gate, group number and seat number.

  4. Step 4 Go to the boarding gate at least 10 minutes before the departure time.

    • Touch the two-dimensional bar code on the boarding pass.

    • Be sure to take the boarding guidance.
Do not lose the “Safety inspection Certificate” until you reach your destination.

    • Please make sure you have your boarding pass.
    • Once the person in the front of you has gone through and the gate has closed, scan your boarding pass on the ticket gate reader.
    • Follow the instructions on-screen and go through when the gate opens.

If you are issued a seat change information slip (*), please take it and continue going through.
A slip will be issued in the following cases:

    • *
Your seat has changed due to aircraft changes.
    • *
You scanned an older boarding pass from before the seat had been changed.

Boarding Information slips will not be issued from the new ticket gates.
Passengers who previously were using Boarding Information slips as proof of boarding are asked to instead issue a Boarding Certificate.

  5. Step 5 Departure

Departure time is the time when the plane starts to move.
